As I step into the role of president for our East Contra Costa County NAACP chapter, my vision is clear: to strengthen our presence within the community and grow a committed, purpose-driven membership that reflects the power and resilience of the people we serve.

This is a pivotal moment. Our African American community across Contra Costa County is calling out for leadership, unity, and advocacy. We cannot afford to simply react — we must act with intention, strategy, and heart. We must stand not only as individuals, but as one collective voice grounded in our mission: to secure political, educational, social, and economic justice, and to dismantle the systems of racial inequity that persist in our county and beyond...
